  • Follow Local Business

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is holding a job fair Jan. 22 for veterans and military spouses at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

More than 45 employers from both large and small companies are expected to attend the National Chamber Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes-Augusta job fair, which will have positions available for veterans and military spouses of any rank and level of experience.

The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the Columbia County pavilion, 3300 Evans to Locks Road.

The Hiring Our Heroes campaign, started in 2011, has found jobs for more than 14,000 veterans and spouses. The event is part of a national effort to find employment for 500,000 veterans and their spouses by the end of 2014.

Those wishing to attend the job fair should pre-register at hoh.greatjob.net, but the event also will allow walk-ins.
