North Augusta’s Belk will reopen to the public Wednesday after a remodeling of the department store in Martintown Plaza.

The store now features 64,000 square feet of floor space, an expanded shoe department, cosmetics and men’s, women’s and children’s apparel.

The event will be marked by a ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m., a store tour and a $5,000 check presentation to North Augusta 2000.

The store, at 1163 Knox Ave., is one of 18 included in a $600 million investment by Belk, based in Charlotte, N.C.
