Fort Gordon to hold tech job fair for veterans

  • Follow Local Business

A job fair focusing on technology will be held Wednesday at Fort Gordon.

The post and Technology Association of Georgia are holding the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event at the Courtyard Recreation and Dining Center on Brainard Avenue.

Georgia’s labor commissioner, Mark Butler, will attend the event.

The job fair is for veterans and will feature 20 companies, most of them technology-oriented that are interested in hiring veterans. Some of the companies involved are GE Energy, AirWatch, McKesson and Manhattan Associates, and Rural Sourcing.

“We feel that many of the returning soldiers from Fort Gordon would be a perfect fit for building Georgia’s technology future,” said Tino Mantella, the association’s president.
