Krispy Kreme on Bobby Jones Expressway closes

  • Follow Local Business

The Krispy Kreme at 216 Bobby Jones Expressway closed in March after the building’s lease expired.

Walton Guthrie, the general manager for the Gordon Highway location, said the owners decided not to renew the Bobby Jones Expressway lease.

There are no plans to close the other two Augusta locations, 1644 Gordon Highway and 2866 Washington Road, he said.

“There are no plans for any changes besides possible remodeling or improvements,” Guthrie said.

I understand that the

I understand that the building owner was upping the rent 3K a month, and KK declined the new lease amount. I would predict that the building will set vacant for months awaiting a new renter. IMO the building owner gambled and lost.

PRetty big gap in coverage for donuts now. You got the one in Evans across from Kroger. Then you have to go to I-20 on Washington rd to get your glazed delights..
