The Toy Box is closing in Surrey Center.
Owner Juli Means said the last day of business will be Jan. 27. Means said that she is closing the independent toy store at 445 Highland Ave. to stay at home and spend more time with her two children.
She purchased The Toy Box in 2007.
Means said the business was doing well. She had several people who were interested in buying the store, but they decided not to purchase the business, she said.
The Toy Box is having a store closing sale, including all toys and some fixtures, through the closing date.
