January visitors to Augusta area expected to generate more than half a million dollars

According to the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau, January is expected to bring $664,095 in direct visitor spending to the Augusta area.

The Club Car 2012 International Sales Conference, expected to bring 175 people who will spend $242,086, will run between Jan. 8-13.

The Dasani Mayor’s Cup Junior Championships held at Newman Tennis Center will bring in 300 people Jan. 14-16 spending $240,065.

The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club 2012 Soldier Ride will come through Augusta Jan. 13-15 with an expected 250 participants and an impact of $126,350.

It's interesting why people actually come here. It's not to see Riverwalk as some would have you believe. It's event oriented.
