Goodwill seeks retail workers using job fair

Goodwill Industries of the CSRA Job Connection will hold a job fair Wednesday for full- and part-time retail associates.

The job fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon at its new Aiken Career Campus at 1015 Pine Log Road. Retail associates are needed for Goodwill's upscale retail store and donation drive-thru in Aiken.

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area provides education, career services, job skills training and post-employment support for individuals with disadvantages or barriers to employment.

MAU job fair planned to fill 45 industrial jobs

MAU Workforce Solutions will hold a job fair Wednesday to fill more than 45 openings at local industrial sites. The positions will pay up to $15 per hour.

The job fair will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jameson Suites, 1062 Claussen Road. Attendees will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. A variety of shift models and shift schedules are available.

MAU is seeking applicants to fill the following positions:

Aiken: machine operators, diesel mechanics, quality techs

Augusta: slab plumber, warehouse tech/stand-up forklift

Beech Island: stackers/packers

North Augusta: MIG flux core welders (welding students)

Applicants must submit to a background check and drug screening.
