Fort tech expo offers program for high school students

Fort Gordon will hold a technology expo Thursday to introduce Army opportunities to area high school students.

Hosted by the Signal Center and the Augusta Recruiting Battalion, students will begin the day with an orientation and briefing on the Signal Center and a short history of the operation. After lunch, Fort Gordon staff will go over job opportunities within the Signal Corps and the Army.

At the expo, students will see different areas of Fort Gordon, satellite communication training, router network training systems trouble shooting, video teleconference, data network capabilities, modern war fighting capabilities and K-9 demonstration.
