Augusta Regional Airport now offering valet parking

$14 per day

More people flying out of Augusta Regional Airport means a new convenience for travelers - valet parking.

The service began today Monday at the airport and is an attempt to lessen the impact of a parking space shortage, said Diane Johnston, director of marketing at Augusta Regional Airport.

The valet service costs $5 for the first hour of parking and $14 per day, according to a news release from the airport.

"The fee is just to try to recover some of our costs," said Tammy Strange, airport finance director. "It's not really a revenue-generating venture for us."

Travelers can drive up to a booth on the south side of the airport's terminal each day of the week between 4:30 a.m. until the last flight arrival of the day. The booth is located near airport ticketing.
