Beginning Feb. 1, the AARP Foundation will prepare tax returns free of charge at The Salvation Army Kroc Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

AARP also will hold a tax forum from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Kroc Center to answer tax questions.

AARP offers free tax help to low- to-moderate-income taxpayers. Participants are not required to be Kroc Center members to attend and receive help.

Free tax returns will be offered until April 15, but taxpayers must call in advance, (706) 922-0171, for an appointment.
