A real estate agent at Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial said Friday he is unsure why the KFC at 4473 Washington Road in Evans closed.

The franchise, which was owned by Pry-Wing LLC, closed several months ago, said the agent, Steve Collins.

Pry-Wing LLC had purchased the property at the Columbia County site in 2008 and built a 4,000-square-foot building.

The fast-food franchise then opened in 2009, Collins said.

What in the world is this

What in the world is this about?? An article about someplace that close MONTHS ago??? And I'm pretty sure there was an article about it then. Is it THAT SLOW of a newsday that the writer has to dig into the old file cabinet and fish out some old story to put in again?
NEWSFLASH!!!!! Smartway Furniture has closed!!!
NEWSFLASH!!!!! Anderson's Pool has closed!!!
NEWSFLASH!!!!! Ed McIntyre voted in as first black Augusta mayor!!!
NEWSFLASH!!!!! Ed McIntyre dies!!!
NEWSFLASH!!!!! James Brown dies!!!
NEWSFLASH!!!!! City welcomes Dr. Azziz to Augusta!!!

Man...I could do this newspaper writing stuff! It ain't that hard.

Hilarious!

Just My Opinion I have not laughed that hard all day. I think it was
so funny because I thought the same thing when I read the article. Countyman it's been closed for months, not weeks. It was in the News Times and on their Twitter feed and on Facebook I think. Maryland Fried Chicken took a lot of their business when they opened a location right up the road.

Well,

you know they say we are behind the times down here in the South. :)

Maybe they just noticed it was closed, it seems that is all that is out there in CC..food establishments.

Must be another KFC

because the one on Washington Rd just past Wally World closed a long time ago.

Besides it has gotten to where a person can purchase 25 wings at just about any Chinese restaurant cheaper, than the cost of 4 at KFC.
