Augusta Tech receives donation from SRS contractor

A Savannah River Site contractor donated $5,000 on Thursday to the Augusta Technical College Foundation to help fund GED scholarships, which help students acquire their high school equivalency diploma through the college’s Adult Literacy program.

The contractor, Savannah River Remediation, is responsible for the nuclear site’s liquid waste program, which involves the processing and cleanup of radioactive waste left over from Cold War weapons production.
