The American Society for Quality has invited college students to attend the 21st Annual Audit Division Conference for free.

The conference is to be held at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center on Oct. 11-12.

According to Lawrence Mossman, the membership chairman of the society’s audit division, the conference will be an opportunity for students to connect with professionals in the quality assurance field and learn about the latest industry advancements.

“We are excited about all the area colleges, and the availability we have to share with them about networking and educational opportunities,” he said.

The conference is a joint effort of the audit, quality management, biomedical/design and construction divisions of the society. Speakers include Marta Wilson, the CEO of Transformation Systems Inc., and Timothy H. McKay, the executive vice president for growth and regional development at Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

Registration for nonstudents is $895.

The society will also hold onsite certification exams Oct. 13 for certified manager of quality/organizational excellence, certified quality auditor, certified quality engineer, certified quality improvement associate and certified biomedical auditor.
