MAU to hold job fair for several local companies

MAU Workforce Solutions will hold a job fair Wednesday for local employers.

EZ-Go, Kimberly-Clark, Kronotex, Hubbell and Newman Technology South Carolina will be at the job fair looking to fill immediate job openings. Jobs include mechanical assemblers, machine operators, MIG welders, packers, forklift drivers, shift leaders and maintenance mechanics.

The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marion Hatcher Center at 519 Greene Street in downtown Augusta. All applicants must submit to a background check and drug screen. Job fair attendees will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis for consideration in the available positions.

such a valuable service they provide in hiring workers. it's worth a big chunk of the workers' pay for infinity, definitely.

used to be you just fill out

used to be you just fill out an application in the front office. now you have to go through one of these services which take a large chunk out of every paycheck forever. it's an employers' market out there. not a workers' market, that's for sure.
