Augusta Technical College will host a five-week Nuclear Workforce Initiative Academy from May 7 to June 7.

The project is a partnership with the Richmond/Burke Job Training Authority and East Central Georgia Workforce Development Consortium.

Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 21, have a high school diploma or GED, meet Workforce Investment Act eligibility requirements and not be enrolled in college. There are a total of 24 training slots for the Richmond/Burke and the East Central Georgia Consortium areas.

Richmond County residents interested in applying should call Richmond/Burke Job Training Authority Youth Services at (706) 721-1858; in Burke County, call (706) 437-6906; and in other counties served by East Central Georgia Consortium, call (706) 595-8941.
