According to a Kimberly-Clark release, Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diaper is the first and only disposable diaper in North America that slides on just like underwear, simplifying the diaper-changing process for parents.

Mike Brunner, facility manager for personal care at the Beech Island plant, said this project keeps the plant a relevant part of the corporate family.

"Anytime we're given the opportunity to be a production facility for a new product, we're very excited," he said. "It shows Kimberly-Clark's continued commitment to the Beech Island facility."

The new product will be manufactured alongside the existing products, with no new jobs created for now, Brunner said.

"We'll continue to watch and assess that, but at the moment we have the capability in-house," he said.

Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers will be available in North America in August at all major retail outlets where diapers are sold.

The Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diaper will also be manufactured at facilities in Paris, Texas and Ogden, Utah.

The Beech Island plant is the largest Kimberly-Clark manufacturing facility in North America, employing approximately 1,230 people. In addition to Huggies diapers, the plant produces Pull-Ups training pants, Kleenex facial tissue, Cottonelle and Scott bath tissue, Cottonelle wipes, and Viva towels.
