GREER, S.C. — A woman whose husband stabbed her during a Bible-study meeting has been hospitalized, Greenville County deputies say.

Deputies say they arrived at the Kingdom Hall in Greer on Thursday afternoon and found several congregation members in the sanctuary holding 46-year-old Leonard Edwards Jr. Edwards' wife was on the floor with a stab wound to the back.

Witnesses told authorities that Leonard Edwards arrived while his wife was attending the Bible study. The two went outside briefly, but then she ran back inside. Witnesses said she was followed by Edwards, who had a knife and stabbed her in the back.

Edwards was being held in jail Friday on attempted murder and weapons charges. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.

Hope she didn't bleed too much. Blood transfusion is not an option for this sect.

Got to be careful. They were probably talking about Genesis 39 and 40 and he thought she was confessing something.

So, remember when the local

So, remember when the local preacher went to witness at someone's house, and brought his gun?? Now this lady got stabbed by her husband at a prayer meeting?? See...had she had HER pistol with her, she probably wouldn't have gotten stabbed, now would she??
I do go to church regularly. I don't have a pistol. Hmmm...maybe I need to go to a pawn shop before Sunday morning. On second thought, maybe I'll start off small and just go with a slingshot...you know, like David!

Never know when you might

Never know when you might need to shoot your way out of a party. Comment made by a delightful entertaining lady when we took a gun safety course for women offered by the popo.
