J.C. Crider (left) and Ginger Hudock portray the parents of Rebecca Moore (left) and Samantha Moore in the Christmas Baby scene of Dear Santa. The show opens Nov. 29 for eight performances.

The play will be staged at 8 p.m. Nov. 29-30, Dec. 6-7, 13-14 and at 3 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8 at Aiken Community Playhouse, 126 Newberry St. SW.

Written by Rob Frankel, the play uses a narrator for “our version of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” said Mike Gibbons, the director.

Scenes will address Christmas lists, stages of belief (and disbelief), and what life is really like for Santa.

“It’s a nice and sweet Christmas show, and with all of our holiday shows at ACP, when the audience walks out we want them to be in the Christmas spirit and this show certainly does that,” Gibbons said.

Tickets are $20 adults, $17 seniors, $12 students and $7 for under age 12 from (803) 648-1438.
