Aiken Department of Public Safety invites community to talk issues, drink coffee

Aiken Department of Public Safety is inviting community members to talk with police officers over a cup of coffee.

On Thursday, the public safety department will hold Coffee with a Cop, a nationwide initiative to help local police departments connect with communities and advance community policing, according to a news release.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at McDonalds, 1157 York St.
