Juilliard in Aiken will hold two free concerts as part of a jazz camp that will be held at the University of South Carolina Aiken from June 10-14.

Students ages 13 through 18 will refine their techniques, improvisation and performance skills on instruments like the trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, piano, double bass and drums.

Teachers are Juilliard Jazz faculty, current seniors and alumni of the school.

Similar camps are being held in only seven cities in the world, according to a news release from camp director Dee Crawford.

The concerts to be performed are Jazz Under the Stars at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, and the Juilliard Summer Jazz Camp Faculty and Student Concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 14. Both concerts are free and will be performed at the Etherredge Center at USC Aiken.
