Aiken Public Safety gets accredited with excellence

Aiken Public Safety was awarded accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement for the fifth time, as well as the Accreditation with Excellence Award, Saturday in Mobile, Ala.

According to an e-mail from Lt. David Turno, the department was initially accredited in March 1998 and named a flagship agency in March of 2006.

“Aiken Public Safety continues its commitment to professional standards in both policy and practice,” he said.
