Did he voluntarily let her

Did he voluntarily let her take the baby to the sitter, despite her alleged history of mental problems (according to him) or did she take the child without his consent? If she really has a history of mental problems, why is the child being transported to the sitter by her without supervision? If her problems weren't serious enough for her NOT to take the child to the sitter, why is he making sure to mention these alleged mental problems now? I don't know if it is simply the wording in the article, but this doesn't make much sense to me.

Maybe there was never any mental problem, just an accusation from a man wanting his wife back.

I agree allhans and

I agree allhans and apparently the authorities did not think she had mental problems either. I doubt they would have left the child with her if that was their suspicion.

Perhaps she likes Richland,

Perhaps she likes Richland, Washington more than Aiken, South Carolina.

If you are rooted in an area, then you don't want to leave. That is understandable. Relocation is not easy, particularly if it is 2,634 miles.

We don't know the details, so we can't judge.

Richland is great if you have a good job (Hanford) and family and friends in the Northwest.

Sorry to hear the transition brought difficulty. Been there done that, got the tee-shirt.

Any updates on this? Oh wait, just saw the headline. They've been found. Totally missed it, didn't see it because I went straight to the end of the article looking for an update. I bet she'll just love finding out her husband told authorities she had had mental problems. (Not).
