The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has identified a suspect in the weekend slaying of an Aiken teen.
Christopher Nathaniel Parker, 24, of the 100 block of Million Avenue, New Ellenton, is being sought in the killing of 18-year-old Huran Akil Dix.
The victim was found Saturday evening buried in a wooded area off Dry Branch Road. Authorities said he had been shot once in the back.
Investigators believe the suspect shot Dix over an income tax check, according to a news release.
Parker has a criminal history that includes kidnapping, several counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and other charges.
Anyone with information is asked to notify the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (800) 922-9709.
Parker has a criminal history that includes kidnapping, several counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and other charges. This is a pattern that is being played out every day. Why?
What does this say of our judicial system if this gentleman is out on our streets with conviction of kidnapping and several counts of unlawful possession of a weapon? He is 24. How long of a sentence did he receive on his previous charges? This is too much of a pattern. We see it far too often. These individuals are continuing their crimes to include murders because our judicial system is too lenient. Of course, in Aiken County, our solicitor seems to plea most cases out and give a much lesser sentence than should be.
the scariest thing is that this delinquent probably has progeny out there. It is time we recognize the influence from the gene pool on aggressive dysfunctional behaviors. And do something about it !
