The second round of the New Ellenton’s mayor race is set. Former mayor Vernon Dunbar and city councilman Anthony Shaw will be on the November ballot.

After winning an election in late March, newly elected Tommy Brock announced in June that he would have to resign in order to continue a job that was also a commissioned position. Brock beat then sitting mayor Vernon Dunbar.

Dunbar and Shaw are former classmates and both long-time New Ellenton residents.
