AIKEN --- U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, R-Lexington, continued his round of town hall meetings Wednesday evening at Oakwood-Windsor Elementary School, answering ever-popular questions from constituents on health care and immigration reform.

U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson spoke at a town hall meeting Wednesday afternoon at Oakwook-Windsor Elementary School in Aiken.

Wilson, campaigning to retain his District 2 seat and stave off competitor Rob Miller of Beaufort, continued his challenge to President Obama and Democrats, saying Republicans will defeat health care reform by blocking funding to agencies set to run the program.

Discussion on Arizona's illegal immigration law was also a popular topic. Wilson restated his message that the administration's stance that the law undermines federal authority is faulty because the law only reiterates current federal statutes.

Aiken residents Robert and Lona Munzberg said Arizona's immigration legislation is something they strongly agree on.

"I don't want them here if they can't follow the proper lines to become citizens," said Robert Munzberg.

Ben and Peggy Kinlaw, of Barnwell, who've been loyal Wilson supporters for years, said they wish more residents would attend campaign stops.

"Today we just learned the federal government plans to suspend funds to Arizona and here you have your representative available to discuss it," Ben Kinlaw said.

Joe opens his meetings by holding up a picture of the messiah and asks everyone if they see a liar. Want to guess what the response is?

Hey, looks like it's been

Hey, looks like it's been more than 15 minutes. Following in the footsteps of the peoples who elected Mr. Obama (gag) I'm sending money all around to candidates who oppose him, even though they do not officially represent me. Mr. Wilson was the first recipient. Hahahahaha. Some of my money will be going to California. Some to Nevada. Some to a Democrat in Arizona. Go figure.

*YAWNS* nothing new here from

*YAWNS* nothing new here from Joe or his supporters. The record he's playing about Obama with the words messiah, you lie, hitler, nazi, chicago thug, healthcare etc, the needle is stuck. The same song is being sung over and over against Obama. Oh and look who do you see in the pic with him (insert race here). When Joe and other republicans have these fund raisers and they see only those who look like them, I wonder do they say, I have got to get more african americans to come to these events. Or do you think they don't care if more minorities were there at all?

Yepitsme, I went to Joe’s

Yepitsme, I went to Joe’s meeting last night. Joe explained how our country is being bankrupted by the dumocrats. There were a bout 100 people there and only 1 black. Why would you think there would be more? Last Wilson meeting there were 4 blacks out of 250. When 99% of blacks vote for Hussein what do expect.
Earl Brown a black gentleman is Wilson’s District Director. A very well spoken gentleman, who lead the pledge of allegiance and invocation.

AMERICANS should STAND BY

AMERICANS should STAND BY ARIZONA, and we should model our states after it! TIRED of the CRAP! Someone needs to address the illegals instead of sweeping them under the rug. WE NEED SOMEONE STRONG TO MAKE STRONG LAWS against illegals. If we had the SAME LAWS Mexico has against illegals, problem would be solved.

Wilson should win. If you

Wilson should win. If you look at a map of the district, it's gerrymandered so that it should be a lock for Republicans. From Lexington to Aiken Co to Beaufort and Hilton Head. Jeez.

Techfan, you are correct it

Techfan, you are correct it is gerrymandered. It is gerrymandered so Clyburn can win. That is the only way someone as dumb as Clyburn can win in SC. Alvin Greene is another Clyburn but he can’t win.

chas: Look at a map of the

chas: Look at a map of the 2nd and 6th Districts and see which is more compact and which stretches into a giant upside down L. Actually both were gerrymandered, but the 6th has been a Democratic district historically, having only elected 2 one term Republicans in it's history.

Yepsitsme, I’m not surprise

Yepsitsme, I’m not surprise there few blacks. Blacks are being taught racism in their churches and by black leaders. So what would you expect? The 2nd Baptist Church in Aiken invited the Rev. Wright to preach about a month ago. If they did not agree with his racism, anti-Semitic and America hatred they would not have invite him to speak.

chaschuch, thank God for

chaschuch, thank God for people like you. WE need more INVESTIGATION into the black community to see how they're all teaching racism and hate mongering. They are judging entire white communities to be racist and that's racism. I'm not racist but that's racist to think I'm racist and they're all racist. They hate America, all of them, just like Hussein Obama.

Techfan, the reason the 2nd

Techfan, the reason the 2nd district is slim is because they gerrymandered the 6th district so more blacks would be voting in that district. If 6th district did not have a majority black it is no way an idiot like Clyburn would be elect. Clyburn is a yes man for Pelosi. I wonder if he carries her luggage when they travel together.

Techfan, The district was

Techfan, The district was gerrymandered in the early 1990s from a deal by Republicans and black Democrats in the South Carolina General Assembly to ensure a majority black population. The rural counties of the black belt in South Carolina make up much of the district, but it was also carved to include the black precincts in Charleston and Columbia.
Techfan, try to get better informed.

That is an unanswerable

That is an unanswerable question, Willie7. The “Republicans” cannot “win” in November. Only individual Republicans and individual Democrats can win. The next round is whether to continue increasing governmental power, or beginning to gain back some measure of individual liberty.
