Three people were arrested Wednesday after threatening to kill Richmond County marshals who were trying to serve an evictionat a home on Gaskill Road in Augusta.
Around 9:50 a.m., individuals in the home told officers they had weapons and were “willing to die today,” according to a report from the marshal’s office. The individuals made threats by telephone to kill all of the marshals present, the report said.
The marshals set up a perimeter and turned over the incident to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. The sheriff’s office later took three people into custody. No one was injured during the incident, the sheriff’s office said.
Jailed on felony counts of making terroristic threats and acts are Lisa M. Steuer, 50; Gregory Steuer, 59; and Rhianna G. Steuer, 17, all of the Gaskill Road address, the sheriff’s office said.
