Two men wanted in a recent armed robbery case were taken into custody Wednesday.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators and SWAT team members worked with the U.S. Marshal’s Office to arrest Travale Sloans, 20, and Treyquan Jeffery, 19 at a home on the 2400 block of Bellehaven Drive.
Sloans was discovered hiding in the attic, but both men were taken into custody without incident. He was wanted in connection to a shooting at the Augusta Mall on September 30.
Jeffery and Sloans were wanted for their roles in the armed robbery of a person on Jan. 12 at 3558 Windsor Spring Road.
Sloans is charged with armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Jeffery is being held for armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
A third man, Tyquan Hicks, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
Sloans’ brother, Travis Dwayne Sloans Jr., was arrested Oct. 30 and charged with harboring or concealing a fugitive.
