Hephzibah mother will need help this Christmas to give children gifts

A family member of a woman in Hephzibah is reaching out for help this Christmas for this single mother.

She writes that the woman has seven children and is having a stressful time right now. Her car was wrecked by a friend and she has no means of transportation.

“I do help with my 8-year-old grandson as much as I can,” she writes. “So can you consider this one time and help this family because they are really in need and it hurts me to the heart.”

The Augusta Chronicle’s Empty Stocking Fund has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for 86 years. The fund has helped people such as this since 1930.

Last year, the charity raised more than$100,000 for children and families across the region.
