Augusta garbage collection will be delayed one day due to the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Residential collection will take place the day after a customer’s scheduled date during the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The landfill will be closed Christmas Day and Jan. 1.
All Augusta government offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 25-26) and Jan. 1.
Augusta 311 will be closed Monday and open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, then resume regular 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. hours Wednesday. The customer service line will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 30 and Jan. 6 to support changes to the garbage schedule.
School district offices will be closed through January 8. Teachers will return for a workday on January 8 and students will return on January 9
All Columbia County branch libraries will be closed Saturday through Tuesday

North Augusta city offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1. Monday’s garbage pickup will be rescheduled for Wednesday. Tuesday pickup will happen Thursday. Wednesday and Thursday pickups will happen Friday. City Council, which regularly meets on Mondays, will meet Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Aiken County offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1. Convenience centers and landfills will be closed Monday and Jan. 1.
