Woman seeks help to provide good Christmas for grandchildren

An Augusta woman needs help to make Christmas special for her two grandchildren.

She said that she was recently awarded the two girls by court order and doesn’t have any extra money for Christmas presents.

“I can’t afford much spending because I only work six to seven hours,” the woman writes. “I provide them with what they need and have as much as I can. I would like for them to have a nice Christmas.”

The Augusta Chronicle’s Empty Stocking Fund has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for 86 years.

The fund has helped people such as this since 1930. Last year, the charity raised more than$100,000 for children and families across the region.
