A tough year could be made better for one mother this Christmas

This Augusta mother has gone from living at the Salvation Army to now having her own place, but she can’t afford buying Christmas presents for her children.

She has four boys and says her income is limited. She wants this Christmas to be a positive one for her children, unlike last year.

“I am sure that with your help this can be a very beautiful Christmas and New Year season,” she writes. “Thank you in advance for your time and concern in this matter.”

The Augusta Chronicle’s Empty Stocking Fund has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for 86 years. The fund has helped people such as this since 1930. Last year, the charity raised more than$100,000 for children and families across the region.
