North Augusta police searching for two suspects in connection to armed robbery

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety is searching for two suspects in connection to an armed robbery at a convenience store.

 

Authorities responded to the call around 4:30 p.m. at the Save Shop at the intersection of Old Edgefield and Atomic roads in North Augusta, a news release from the department states.

One of the suspects, armed with a small handgun, entered the store and demanded money from the register. The other suspect jumped behind the counter and grabbed packs of cigarettes.

The two fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the news release. The clerk was unharmed.

Store security recordings shows that the suspects had distinctive blue Adidas shoes, according to the news release.
