The Augusta chapter of the NAACP will announce plans for its 100th anniversary Monday.

The announcement will be 10 a.m. at Paine College Department of Media Studies in the Candler building.

The chapter will present five activities planned in the area for the celebration, said its president Beulah Nash-Teachey. Feedback on the plans is welcomed, she said.

“We want them to be involved with the NAACP and planned activities,” she said. “We’re hoping they understand what the NAACP has done and plans to do for the community.”
