Graniteville woman wants to reward daughter’s good grades with something for Christmas

A single parent on a very limited income is asking for help this Christmas.

This Graniteville woman has a daughter who is 14. She said her daughter is a good student, and she would like to reward her efforts with something for Christmas.

“She barely asks for anything,” the woman writes. “I just want to provide her with something special this year.”

The Augusta Chronicle’s Empty Stocking Fund has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for 86 years. The fund has helped people such as this since 1930. Last year, the charity raised more than $100,000 for children and families across the region.
