Second suspect arrested in Waynesboro burglary

A second suspect in a Waynesboro burglary has been arrested, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

Marquise Tyrell Staten, 21, was arrested in connection to the Nov. 22 burglary in the 100 block of Barrett Mill Road, Chief Deputy Lewis C. Blanchard said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office issued a warrant for the 21-year-old’s arrest Monday. He surrendered to officers Tuesday morning.

Jareem Rader Lamont Heath, 22, was arrested Monday in connection to the incident. Firearms and rifles were stolen in the burglary, the sheriff’s office stated.
