Probable cause found in child molestation case against young Augusta man

Hutcheson (Special)

An Augusta man accused of molesting a teen will face possible indictment by the Richmond County grand jury.

At the conclusion of a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Richmond County Civil Court for Dylan Hutcheson, 20, Chief Judge William D. Jennings III ruled probable cause existed to send charges of aggravated child molestation and sodomy to the grand jury.

Hutcheson has been in jail without bond since his Nov. 16 arrest. Sheriff Investigator Kimberly Lee testified Tuesday that she was sent to investigate a July 26 report of child molestation after a 14-year-old boy disclosed to his mother and grandmother that he had been molested. In a forensic interview at the Child Advocacy Center, the teen said Hutcheson had been molesting him since he was age 9, Lee said.
