Authorities have found the body of Tom Allgood near the scene of a boating collision that killed the Augusta attorney and another man Friday near Wildwood Park boat ramp.
The body was found around around 2 p.m. Monday, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The search ends a three-day search for Allgood, who was killed when his and another boat collided at high speed around 3 p.m. Friday.
Columbia County Coroner Vernon Collins said the body would be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta on Tuesday morning for an autopsy.
Authorities discovered the body of the first accident victim, George Ashmore, on Saturday.
The DNR Law Enforcement Critical Incident Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the incident. Officials said the findings will be available in about six weeks.
