Man accused of flashing at mall faces probation violation hearing

Buggs (GBI)

A man accused of exposing himself at the Augusta Mall last week will be held without bond until his probation violation hearing in a 2008 child molestation case.

Victor M. Buggs, 27, was arrested Friday after shoppers complained to mall security. He was charged with public indecency for allegedly dropping his pants and exposing himself to other shoppers.

Buggs is on probation for child molestation. He pleaded guilty in Richmond County Superior Court in July 2008. He was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by 12 years probation for molesting a 10-year-old girl.

Buggs’ probation officer filed a warrant Monday seeking to hold him without bond until a hearing can be held before Judge Sheryl B. Jolly. Buggs was paroled in February 2012.
