One man has been arrested and charged in connection to a Thursday shooting in Aiken.
Anthony Davon Daniels, 26, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in Springfield, SC. Daniels has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and discharging a firearm within city limits.
According to a news release from the Aiken Department of Public Safety, Daniels is currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
Daniels is accused of involvement in a shooting at a Laurens Street apartment complex in Aiken that left one man injured and caused a lockdown at Aiken High School on Thursday.
The shooting occurred after 8 a.m. at Colony Woods Apartments in Aiken.
The victim, who is the suspect’s step-father, was treated for his injuries at AU Medical Center
The Aiken Department of Public Safety was assisted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms in the case.
