Brother of teen wanted in connection to Augusta Mall shooting arrested and charged

The brother of a teen wanted in connection to a shooting at Augusta Mall in late August was arrested and charged Monday, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Travis Dwayne Sloans Jr., 21, was arrested at his residence on Emerson Drive in Augusta. He is charged with harboring or concealing a fugitive with a bond set at $5,700.

His brother, Travele Sloans, 19, of the 3300 block of Emerson Drive in Augusta, remains wanted in connection with the Aug. 30 shooting.

Travele Sloans is 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was last seen driving a dark blue Chrysler 300. The sheriff’s office said he is considered armed and dangerous.
