Doctors Hospital Pediatric Care is hosting a Trunk or Treat: Halloween Safety Event on Saturday.
The event will be from 10 a.m.-noon., featuring interactive games, inflatables and face and pumpkin painting. It is free and open to the public. Costumes are encouraged, according to a hospital news release.
“Halloween is a fun time and awareness is what helps parents and children make sure they stay safe,” said Doctors Hospital Trauma Medical Director Dr. Christopher Hogan.
The Richmond County Marshal’s Office will be on hand to provide Ident-a-Kid cards, the Columbia County Sheriff Bike Patrol will give bicycle safety tips, Seigler’s Karate Center is leading stranger safety demonstrations, and the Augusta Fire Department and Gold Cross EMS will have Touch a Truck displays.
The Grovetown High School band drum section will do a costume parade, beginning about 11 a.m. The event will be in parking Lot A of the hospital, located at 3651 Wheeler Road.
Registration is encouraged, not required. For additional information about the event or to register, call 706-651-4343.
