Woman arrested after stabbing man at their Hephzibah home

A woman has been arrested in connection to a stabbing a man at a Hephzibah residence Thursday.

Nasheda Jackson, 52, of Hephzibah, was arrested Thursday night after she allegedly stabbed Melvin Colquitt, 52, also of Hephzibah at their home on Keron Way.

She is charged with one felony count of aggravated assault, family violence.

Deputies who responded to the call at 10:57 p.m. noticed that Colquitt had sustained multiple stab wounds, a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office states.

Colquitt was airlifted to Augusta University Medical Center where he was treated for his wounds and has since been listed in critical but stable condition.
