I hate the way the Augusta Commission squanders my tax money. An employee works less than two years on the job, gets fully vested in the city retirement program and is eligible for severance pay. That’s insane.
The lowest ratings ever for the Emmys; was it boycott or disinterest in watching Trump bashing. The show no longer entertains, it’s biased political statements instead. Thumbs down.
Anyone who waves a flag representing his heritage should be happy to be deported? I guess Ireland will be getting a few boatloads next St. Paddy’s Day.
Referencing the comment that appeared Sept. 19 regarding the new arena’s proposed location at the old Recency Mall and “people who can afford to go there will not go to that area.” I live in “that area,” and you are welcome to keep your holier-than-thou attitude on your side of the tracks.
I attended the Arts in the Heart festival and it had a lot to offer: music, arts, and plenty of food. However, the streets of Augusta were disgusting. Trash everywhere and the sewer smell was horrible. The city needs to clean the place up if you want to succeed. I hope some of the city officials attended the event and got a first-hand look.
