Guilty plea entered in shooting

A 19-year-old admitted in court Wednesday to shooting another man five times in 2016.

Jerry Ramos pleaded guilty in Richmond County Superior Court to aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Judge Michael N. Annis sentenced Ramos to five years in prison followed by 10 years on probation.

On May 13, 2016 on James Drive, Ramos got into an argument with other men and then started shooting. Brandon Cade was shot five times but survived.
