Planes damaged in Barnwell airport fire

Several planes were damaged following a fire at Barnwell Regional Airport on Tuesday.

Barnwell firefighters responded to Barnwell Regional Airport, located at 155 Airport Road, around 2 p.m. Tuesday after a fire was reported in one of the hangars, according to the People-Sentinel newspaper.

No injuries have been reported, but five airplanes were damaged in the blaze. The State Law Enforcement Division has been called to investigate.
