Augusta resident removed from home following emergency call

Richmond County firefighters removed a man from his residence after responding to a call about issues with the home’s electric power box.

The call was received from the occupant of the home at 2814 Lumpkin Road at 10:17 a.m., according to Richmond County 911 Director Daniel Dunlap.

No flames were reported when firefighters arrived. Dunlap said Gold Cross was sent to the scene but he was unaware of any serious injuries.
