2017 Solar Eclipse

LIVE COVERAGE HAS ENDED.

 

After more than 47 years, Augusta-area residents will get a chance to see a solar eclipse today, beginning at 1:11 p.m., when the moon begins to pass in front of the sun for a partial eclipse.

In Augusta, the peak of the eclipse begins at 2:42 p.m., when more than 99 percent of the sun will be hidden by the moon.
