An Augusta private school called the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office to report a case of vandalism that took place Tuesday night.
A Richmond County deputy responded to Westminster Schools of Augusta at 3067 Wheeler Road after vandalism was discovered on campus.
Director of Facilities Eric Newbrey told police the concession stand, steps and message board were spray painted with vulgar words and crude images.
The school received an anonymous e-mail blaming the damage on two students, but staff members believe they have been falsely accused.
School staff said the cost to repair the damage will exceed $1,100.
