Motorists should expect various delays on Monday as road work for a $3.3 million construction is expected to continue, after weather delays.
A news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation states work will begin from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m., Tuesday on Peach Orchard Road.
Workers will mill and resurface Peach Orchard from south of Tobacco Road to north of Lumpkin Road, according to the news release.
The DOT expects for work along the road to be complete by the end of August, leaving the final asphalt course to finish up the roadway rehab, the news release states.
Various delays should be expected north and southbound until the full project is complete in mid-September.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution and follow construction signs along the roads.
