A federal grand jury in Columbia has indicted a Columbia man in connection with a drug-related killing in Aiken, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Antonio Miller, 38, was charged with use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and drug trafficking causing death; kidnapping resulting in death; and drug conspiracy resulting in death. Miller could receive life without the possibility of parole on each of these charges.
The indictment alleges that on Sept. 15, 2008, Miller kidnapped and restrained Fred Tucker, binding his hands and feet and torturing him with a hot screwdriver. Miller then killed Tucker by shooting him in the chest, according to the indictment. Miller and others conspired to distribute crack cocaine and, while engaged in this conspiracy, Miller intentionally killed Tucker, the indictment alleges.
Miller was to be arraigned Thursday.
